The room was very comfortable especially the bed. We arrived late at night and its a self-checkin kiosk that gives you the door combination. We called the help phone number it went to voice mail. We met a couple in the parking area and they gave us a different number ,then we spoke to someone who helped us get into our room. We would stay there again everything was perfect except for that glitch.

I adore boutique hotels! So when I found New Haven Inn, I was thrilled and not one thing disappointed me!! The women I met working there were professional, knowledgeable, kind, and very accommodating. I had the opportunity to speak w/the owner on the phone and saw exactly why this hotel is awesome. The location is perfect for walking to town and yet very quiet. It was fun having a patio w/fire pit too. I can't say enough great things, so just book and go and enjoy when you are in Solvang.

Too HOT. The air con worked good when I checked in. It’s only May so it’s not real hot outside yet, but you still need air for a comfortable nights stay. In the middle of the night the air went off. Period. No way to turn it back on. I started to sweat. Opened the window but the lights outside were so bright I had to close the blinds. That was just enough to keep the cool air from coming in. I did not sleep from 2AM on. Some might say it might have been broken. Nope, this is an intentional control of YOUR room. When I got out of bed the air was still not working. Miraculously I was able to get it to work at 9AM when I was checking out. I would love to stay here again but can’t. It is only going to get hotter during the summer and without air it is an impossible environment. And the fact that it is done intentionally makes me seethe.

The Inn is a short walk, less than half a mile, from the center of town. The room was super clean and very nice. And the price is reasonable given the quality of the room. The main reason I downgrade to a rating of 4 is that it if you're expecting some sort of friendly staff presence -- well, it's all business and they're only there during business hours. So it's impersonal, which is fine, but it actually did become a problem for us when we couldn't get back into our room after going out for breakfast one morning. No staff until 9 (we got back a little after 8am) and our key code (and the code for other people in other rooms) stopped working. The emergency number connected to what seemed to be an answering service that left a message for staff. It took awhile for staff to get back in touch. It could have been handled better. But still, a good place to stay in Solvang that proves to be a good launching spot for visiting wineries.

Very clean room . Few mins walk to shops and downtown . Very friendly and helpful staff . It’s a little pricey. Some of the rooms which are facing the Main Street can be a little noisy.

The New Haven Inn was a great, cute little cottage hotel. We stayed in Room 2, which was ADA accessible. It had two double beds, and it was perfect for my husband, our four-year-old daughter, and me. We didn’t spend much time in the room, but it had a microwave, fridge, and everything you could need. The front desk was very nice and provided great recommendations. One benefit of staying in Room 2 is that your front door leads out to the street. I know that might sound bad, but it’s actually a quiet street, and you can park right in front of your room. If you have little ones or a lot of luggage, that’s really helpful. Room 2 also had a small patio area with a fireplace where we made s’mores. Overall, it was a great stay. I would definitely return.

This was our first stay at the New Haven Inn. We were quite impressed with the lovely elegant decor, spacious room suite, its location and quiet ambiance, and all of the attention to details and little extras provided in the room. Little things like ceramic coffee cups, bottle and wine openers, liquid creamers, bath mat to place in the shower to avoid slipping, and awesome A/C that cools the room quickly. The bed was a king bed with at least a 16”pillow top mattress that was super comfortable, with silky smooth sheets that were delightful. We also learned that they have bikes available for use and folded sitting chairs, and a selfie backdrop. We loved this Inn and will definitely be back again. We’ve already shared our experience with family and friends! Looking forward to our next stay here!

Our family & close friends stayed at the 5 Star New Haven Inn for our daughter & son in-laws wedding celebration. We were in Rooms 19, 20 (both penthouse suites) and Room 11. From booking to our stay, Tammy made our experience more than we could have ever imagined. The location is outstanding. Value the best in Solvang. Thank you for a wonderful weekend from start to finish. Look no further for accommodations when visiting this area. The Buono Family

The room was nice a clean, the bed comfortable. It’s located within walking distance to center of town. Our room was at the front so it got a little noisy with the cars in the morning. Very quiet at night
