OutFest Philadelphia 2026
About This Event
OutFest Philadelphia, the city's annual LGBTQ+ film festival, takes over Center City and the Gayborhood every October. It's one of the East Coast's oldest queer film festivals, showing features, documentaries, and shorts from queer filmmakers in the US and abroad. You'll see everything from big-name festival acquisitions to experimental, community-made films that wouldn't screen anywhere else in town.
The programming here really drives it — the choices feel smart, not just commercial. Besides the films, there are panel discussions, Q&As with filmmakers, and other community events. OutFest works like old-school queer film festivals: it's as much about building community as it is about the movies. The chance encounters and connections you make during a week of shared cinema are baked right into the festival's DNA.
Films show at the Philadelphia Film Centre and other partner venues in the Gayborhood. You can buy festival passes and single tickets online.
