Disappointing service for sports groups – Avoid We stayed at this hotel as part of a group for the Cobras FC Tournament, as our academy was assigned here by the organizers. My family and I arrived on the afternoon of Saturday, June 27. The afternoon shift manager was great—very professional and accommodating. However, the night shift manager was incredibly rude, inflexible, and disruptive. You would think that when hosting over 200 guests who are in Rochester for a soccer tournament, the hotel would expect people to want to watch the FIFA World Cup. Instead, this manager decided to turn off all the TVs in the common areas so no one could watch the game. When we spoke with the staff, they mentioned they were just following his orders. He even closed the bar and bistro early, at 9:50 PM instead of the regular 11:00 PM, and guests forced to go back to their rooms early. This manager single-handedly chose to upset a massive group of guests and refused to listen to anyone. If I ever return to Rochester for business, vacation, or another tournament, I will definitely never stay at this hotel again. While there were other minor issues during our stay, this situation made our experience unforgettable for all the wrong reasons.
Worst stay ever. Soccer tournament families. Children running a muck, kicking soccer balls down the hallways, hitting doors and walls, no parental supervision, kids running up and down the hallways until bar closed down, then parents added to the noise and yelling and slamming doors in the hallway. Front desk refused to do anything about it the whole weekend. They said the security guard was heading to quiet things but not until well after 11 at night did things start to quiet. FOR 3 NIGHTS IN A ROW. Never had an experience like this before. Front desk didn't do anything except to say, "sorry for the inconvenience". Hotel was dirty. The upgrades the hotel is doing, are nice but nothing is clean. Floors not clean. Hair balls and dirt from previous guests in the rooms. We were refused access to the elevators Friday morning because a contractor was working. No other way down except for the steps, which was not an option because of my 92 yr old Mothers walker and my Dad is 91. When I complained at the front desk the woman told me we must be mistaken, yeah, the plaster dust on the wheels of her walker and on our shoes was our imagination, REALLY??? She said she had no knowledge of constuction going on!!! Housekeeping took our tips but did not empty garbage or leave clean towels, so the guests had to go in search of clean towels. Rugs in hallway had not been vacuumed the whole time we were there. Same garbage on the rugs the whole weekend. Worst stay ever.
Stayed for 4 nights in the spacious suite. Unique design for the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Location was excellent with good options nearby. I actually felt like a guest instead of just another customer as staff inquired if I needed anything whenever passing me in the hallway or waiting at the elevator. Unequivocally recommend.
The hotel rooms are dirty. The floors were gross my kids white socks were all black crumbs and dirt. The tub was not clean either. The water was warm no hot water. For a double tree hotel this was not up to standard. The staff was really nice though but very mediocre hotel.
I had the pleasure of staying at this location for 4 nights. From checking in to checking out the experience was great. All of the staff were not only helpful but incredibly friendly. The rooms were spacious and very clean, great water pressure and temperature in the shower as well. Can’t wait to stay here again for my next trip to Rochester.
