Gay Softball World Series — 50th
About This Event
The 2027 Gay Softball World Series is heading back to San Francisco, 50 years after the city hosted the first one in 1977. This championship is run by International Pride Softball, an association founded by five cities in 1977: Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, San Francisco, and Toronto.
It's come a long way since the first series, which had just two teams. Now, you can expect 190 to 270 teams from across the US and Canada, divided by skill level and playing over most of a week. Last year, Columbus, Ohio hosted 267 teams. The host league handles the fields, opening ceremony, and evening events.
The San Francisco Gay Softball League is getting ready to host, with planning and fundraising underway since mid-2026.
No dates or fields have been announced yet. The series typically takes place in late summer.
The date listed is just a placeholder, so don't book your trip until the official schedule is out.
