This is an event center and OLD hotel. We weren’t looking to spend a great deal of time there obviously but if you wanted peace and quiet at night, good luck. It was loud at night almost our entire stay. The staff are not particularly friendly either. Parking is an additional cost even though the rooms are fairly overpriced. They nickel and dime you on other things also so for the ultimate cost, better to just stay at a nicer place. Also, normally hot water with high pressure would be a good thing but the water comes out almost scalding not even turned all the way up and the pressure is exceptionally high. About the only nice thing I have to say is that it was clean and there was one nice staff member who made sure I got extra pillows upon request.

The lobby area was comfortable and spacious. The guest rooms were a bit old, and some guests were quite noisy. The staff were very nice. Overnight parking is charged. Overall, it was very good.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, and the pool area was a perfect spot to relax. Highly recommend!

Located at least 45 minutes by Uber from SFO Airport, I was accommodated at Holiday Inn San Jose - Silicon Valley after my United Airlines flight was cancelled. Overall, the stay was acceptable for a short overnight transit, but the hotel feels quite dated and basic. The room was clean enough, but there was a noticeable unpleasant odour upon entering room no 112 which lingered throughout the stay. The furnishings and facilities are functional, though they could benefit from refurbishment. The reception staff were courteous and efficient during check-in and check-out, and the overall service at the front desk was satisfactory. I also had dinner at the hotel’s pub restaurant. The food was generally decent and service was acceptable. However, the calamari did not seem particularly fresh, which was disappointing. More concerning was that an expired mustard sauce was served with the dish. When I pointed this out to a staff member, the sauce was simply removed without any apology or acknowledgement. While the issue was addressed, the lack of concern or basic customer service recovery left a poor impression. The hotel served its purpose as an emergency accommodation arranged by United Airlines, but between the dated room, unpleasant room odour, and the dining experience, there is certainly room for improvement.
