Kasa Downtown San Jose

Excellent service and location. I highly recommend it!

Everything was great, check-in instructions made it very easy to enter building & everything was clean and neat, virtual front desk was easy to access as well. My only small (microscopic) complaint would be that there isn’t a television in the bedroom. Overall we would definitely return.

Felt very safe, unit was clean and welcoming. Directions were excellent. Would definitely recommend kasa.

All I can say is don’t listen to all of the reviews, they didn’t read the instructions carefully or at all, lol. Other than it should have tv’s in each room i don’t have anything to say. It was noisy, it wasn’t dirty and most definitely I felt welcomed. Follow the directions to the tea and I swear it will be a perfect stay. I absolutely loved it as did my family, looking forward to booking again in any city, state I travel to, I hope there’s a location. I almost feel as if I don’t want to use any other hotel service now, lol. They are by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at.

Fantastic central apartment. Was very clean and comfortable and would recommend to anyone. Large spacious rooms and the apartment was fully equipped with everything you need when travelling.

While the apartment was ok-ish (once we could get in!), the reservation process at Kasa is a technological nightmare: - mail exchange is confuse, overwhelming and impersonal - codes are sent ~30mins before the reservation starts. Which assumes you have a reliable connexion. Ever travelled in a foreign country? This rarely happens, and good luck planning ahead a 'techno-light' trip. - the identification process is a privacy nightmare: you have to sent a copy of your passport, a photo, your mail, your *kid*'s mail (!!!) , and so on. It's identity theft waiting to happen (before, of course, the process is hosted by a third-party. One more moving part waiting to fail or be hacked). - amongst the flurry of mails, you realize (once you arrive) that they are *two* codes: one for the apartment, and one for entering the building. And of course, they were sent in the wrong order. - good luck trying to contact a human being to sort out the code issue late at night in the middle of SanJose street after a long trip with crying kids! After wading through tons of automated messages on the answering machine, we got someone to offer assistance. Overall, in a hotel, you spend ~5mins at the reception check-in. Here, with Kasa, you've *lost* two hours, surrendered most of your privacy to a machine, and been crushed by technology. What a treat! And the price isn't even cheap, despite all these 'process optimization'. These tools were supposed to *help* us, and now, we're just overwhelmed. I want to talk to humans! Kasa is dystopian nightmare in the making. Oh, and btw, a mail warned that they have microphones in the rooms, to monitor the noise level!!
