We stayed for the World Cup and the truth reading the bad comments I did not expect that the hotel was going to be so perfect Super good bed Super full, they wash your clothes instantly and the location excellent the only bad thing is that 1 day if they clean your room and another day not. I'll be back

To be fair, this seems like a mom-and-pop operation, so I tried to keep my expectations reasonable. But my stay at Hotel Clariana felt less like a hotel experience and more like a very committed improv performance. My room was on the 5th floor on a hot day, and instead of central AC, I got one of those portable AC units that looks like it was borrowed from a landlord after somebody’s apartment system broke. And because those things leak, they had an old detergent bottle catching the water. Nothing says “hospitality” like sleeping next to a DIY plumbing solution. At the front desk, I was told the Keurig was free, which was exciting until I got to the room and found no pods. Even if there had been pods, the machine was so dirty it looked like it had been brewing regret for several seasons. At first I was impressed by the snack prices. Honestly, $1 to $3 is a pretty good deal these days. Then I looked closer and realized some of the snacks and drinks were expired, including a Rockstar that appeared to expire in 2022. Apparently the refreshment area is also a history exhibit. The lotion and soap looked like they had already been used, which is a detail no guest should ever have to notice. The bathroom vent was also extremely dirty. And on top of all that, parking was $20. So in summary: if you like budget snacks, mystery expiration dates, portable AC engineering, and a Keurig with emotional baggage, this may be the place for you.

Booked a room a year in advance for the Super Bowl. Arrived at midnight just to be turned away due to what was presumably overbooking.

We enjoyed our stay here. It is wonderfully located and it was very clean. The staff was super helpful at all hours. It is quite secure as you need to scan your card before getting into the building itself. You need to do the same to leave so it is safe. Rooms could use a bit of updating but it wasn`t as if it looked or smelled "old", just a bit dated with some color choices but all very good condition. Art deco style hotel throughout. Beds were super comfy which is such a plus.

Was looking for convenient hotels located in downtown SJ and discovered this little spot. The room itself was very cute , clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom, though technically on the street side , I found it to be quiet and relaxing and even kept my window open throughout the night In walking distance to everything I need ( coffee, breakfast ,711)including the bus line which was literally around the corner so was able to hop on over to Valley Fair and Santana Row and felt good not having to waste money on Lyft.. Tina at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating .. Will most definitely stay here again.
