About this place Hotel Villa Anakao

Villa Anakao is a small hotel at 154 Royal Road, Pointe aux Sables, the seaside suburb on the western edge of Port Louis district, about 7 km from the centre. It is a quieter alternative to sleeping downtown, with the city a short taxi or bus ride away. Google reviewers rate it 4.3 from about 250 reviews. The Pointe aux Sables shore is a local public beach, not a resort strip, so come for value and calm rather than a lagoon. It is a mainstream hotel.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Anakao in Mauritius and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic island experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere, stunning ocean views, and a fantastic location. The rooms were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the entire property was very well maintained. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the incredible staff. A special thank you goes to Patricia at the reception. She was simply amazing throughout our stay—always welcoming, kind, professional, and genuinely caring. No request was ever too much, and she always greeted us with a smile. Patricia made us feel like valued guests rather than just visitors, and her warmth added so much to our experience. We would also like to give a special mention to Zulu, the hotel's wonderful dog. He quickly became one of the highlights of our stay! Seeing him every day always put a smile on our faces. He was incredibly friendly and had such a calm, reassuring presence. Zulu made us feel safe and at home, and it was clear that he is a beloved part of the Anakao family. Thank you to Patricia, Zulu, and the entire Hotel Anakao team for making our holiday so memorable. We left with wonderful memories and hope to return one day. Highly recommended!

In general a good place to stay if you want peace of mind and a calm area where you could have some good rest. But I like activities when I stay in hotels. Another minus is that the access gate is close every time and needs to make a sign and wait for door to be opened (sometimes wait can take a bit of time ) or enter by a code. Not really my type specially for hotels. I advise to have a gate man in such case Breakfast limited option. Dinner have to be order earlier if you plan dinner at the hotel

15 unforgettable days of vacation on this paradise island! A huge thank you to Patricia and her entire team for their warm welcome and kindness throughout our stay. A special mention to the chef, who delighted us every day with delicious dishes prepared using local ingredients. The view from the villa is simply magnificent and makes the experience even more exceptional. We wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and will gladly return!

A lovely hotel in a converted colonial house, spacious room with a beautiful sea view, peaceful atmosphere, very nice breakfast, attentive staff, and excellent service. Dinner by reservation is available by the pool with soft background music – very pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel near the capital, Port Louis.
