Collectif Arc-en-Ciel

Collectif Arc-en-Ciel (CAEC) is the oldest LGBTQ+ organisation in Mauritius. It was founded in 2005 and has organised the island's Pride march since 2006. Its office is on Darwin Avenue in Quatre Bornes, about 14 km south of Port Louis. CAEC was an interested party in Ah Seek v State, the case in which the Supreme Court struck down the sodomy law on 4 October 2023. The plaintiff, Ryan Ah Seek, was then the group's president. Today it runs a legal clinic, which supported people targeted by online threats after Pride 2026, as well as advocacy and community events.
