What reviewers say

Many visitors praise the ONOMO Hotel Maputo for its good value, comfortable beds, modern rooms, and excellent service from friendly and attentive staff, with some highlighting the rooftop pool and views. However, a common complaint is the lack of staff presence at reception, leading to long waits during check-in and check-out, and some find the surrounding area less desirable, especially after dark.

About this place ONOMO Hotel Maputo

ONOMO Hotel Maputo belongs to ONOMO, a mid-range hotel chain operating across Africa. It's on Avenida 25 de Setembro in central Maputo. This is a mainstream, gay-friendly hotel, not a gay venue. The 226 Google reviews average 4.2. The Baixa's colonial-era streets, the central market and the bay are close by. Same-sex relations are legal in Mozambique, but there is little visible LGBTQ nightlife, so locals connect mainly through community organisations like LAMBDA and private events. Use registered taxis after dark.
