What a little gem! This hotel has that old school vibe with all the comforts you could need! Quirky decor to make the eclectic traveller feel right at home. Thank you to the very kind staff who were happy to answer all questions and be very accomodating. Clean ammenities and well located. Highly recommend!
After our Outback tour, we relaxed and spent a night at Alice's Secret. Arrival was straightforward, and we received a warm welcome from our German host! The entire place, from the garden to the rooms, kitchen, and even the bathrooms, was beautifully designed. We had booked a private double room and received a free upgrade on arrival to the bus, Betty! It's a converted bus where you can leave your mark on the walls. The showers and toilets were very clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped. It's clearly run with a lot of heart and soul, and while it's not five-star luxury, it's a hostel in the truest sense of the word, which isn't what you should expect. Perfect for what it's meant to be! Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to use the pool or other common areas. We felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. It's a great place to relax before or after your Outback tour and connect with other people! The hostel offers a truly pleasant atmosphere—everything is very quiet and relaxing. It's not a typical party hostel, but a place to live and feel comfortable.
One of the best Hostels in Alice Springs! Fantastic facilities that are clean and immaculate, along with a fully equipped kitchen ideal for those who love to cook. Tremendous staff that are friendly and outgoing, that ensure the place is clean and safe for all. As well as an overall great vibe that is one of a kind and top tier. The hostel location is also ideal and very well positioned to see most of Alice within a 10-15 min walk. Highly recommended:)
The room was extremely humid, even with the airco, fan, window and door open it didn’t improve. The guy at reception tried his best but could not solve it. My fiancé has asthma and long-Covid so she was not able to sleep here unfortunately. We only spend 2 hour here and couldn’t get our money back, absolutely a disgrace! They didn’t took our medical situation seriously.
A highly recommended place, it has a very special charm. Everything you need, clean, neat and tidy and a kitchen with a round table that invites communication, so important nowadays. I will return with my eyes closed
¡Por supuesto! Ahí va una versión pulida en inglés: "The best part of my journey toward my Uluru dream, a dream called Uluru, was staying at the hostel. First of all, I want to highlight the excellent professionalism, care, and guidance of Skai the receptionist—he was fabulous. He made me feel like I was in a five-star hotel. As the name suggests, Alice Secret, I won’t reveal all the secrets—you have to discover them yourself. There are messages everywhere; it’s magical. You can see birds, there’s so much tranquility. The only negative I want to mention is about the volunteers or the long-term residents. There’s a very superficial atmosphere, a bad vibe between them—they’re really unfriendly. And worst of all, they don’t care for this beautiful place. It’s clear they want to do the bare minimum, just living there for free. If I had their chance to live there, just doing a little work, I would do a perfect job, because there’s so much to do. But it seems they’re lazy, and that makes me sad, because the owner is a wonderful person and deserves people who care as much about this place as he does, with a team that truly loves it."
