The Tall Trees Ainslie Motel is praised for its good location and friendly staff, with some guests finding the rooms spacious and the beds comfortable. However, a significant number of visitors report issues with cleanliness, including mouldy showers and unvacuumed rooms, as well as problems with room servicing and a lack of basic amenities like dishwashing liquid. There was a VERY noisy fridge in an adjacent room that kept waking me up. I could not contact reception to advise them of this because it was Easter and the office was closed, but apart from that, it was an enjoyable stay in a lovely (if a little dated, but the owners are refreshing the place as we speak!) motel in Ainslie. Thanks!!

Stayed here and had a really lovely experience. The staff were friendly and the customer service was great. Free parking was a big plus, and everything you’d need was provided — even cutlery, which was a nice surprise. The hot shower was perfect, and the aircon worked really well. There were also extras like a TV, iron, and ironing board (didn’t use them, but good to have). Overall, a really comfortable stay — I’d definitely come back if I’m in Canberra again!

Second time staying here, good accommodation for the price and the staff are always ready for a last minute booking. A lot of harsh reviews, however, compared to the previous owners, the new management is making leaps and bounds in the right direction. Both rooms were newly renovated, clean, and had all the expected amenities. Staff are more than eager to assist with a late check-in or check out. Would stay here again.
