The Sphinx Hotel

Reece was so rude to me and my father! I will never be back again absolutely disgraceful with the way we were treated and no one should ever go to this venue. Thank you Reece for this shocking experience.

Ladies in the gaming area were very friendly and helpful

We visited on Sunday lunch for my father in laws birthday. The usual menu wasn't available which being mothers day and busier I could understand cutting it back. What I couldn't understand was how a business can take the time to print menus and a) not have the correct price on the kids menu and b) scrub that price out and write on the correct price. It was jaw dropping tacky. Food was alright. Hot and fresh, a solid pub feed but nothing stand out. Was decent value and meals were huge, definitely too much but that's my opinion. Decor is aged and fabric on lounge seating was torn and worn out.

Had lunch at the Sphinx yesterday, took my elderly mother for Mother's Day lunch and was quite disappointed to see that they don't have senior meals on a weekend? It just doesn't make sense, I've never be anywhere where they limit when seniors can get their small portions so we ended up paying top dollar for my mum to have a few nibbles and left nearly a whole plate so it was disappointing, she is in an aged care facility so we couldn't take leftovers even though that was offered. They don't stop kid's meals being served on weekends why would you stop seniors so maybe they can re-evaluate that but apart from that the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly but we won't go back on a weekend..

By far the best Egyptian themed pub I've been to.

Great food great place

went here for a birthday dinner not the first time, but the food is still great, service is fast and friendly and yes the kids still played in the playground when it was dark as it was lit up for them. my son loves taking the posing pics here with the statues

Probably the worst hotel we've ever stayed at. Bed was all springs and felt like it had sand in it, pillows flat, shower had no pressure. Customer service at the desk was very good though, just a shame the hotel is so rundown. Seems like all the good reviews are actually for the food at the restaurant and not the hotel. Also the pool looked disgusting
