Duxton Hotel Perth

What a beautiful hotel. Loved the new bar, had a quite dinner on my business trip. The steak was the best I have had, came with baby veggies, the most delicious salad and the crunchiness fries. My room was spacious and the bed so comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Was here for an event. I did not stay in a room. We used the conference room. The service staff were polite and helpful, but the food provided was honestly incredibly disappointing. Fish and beef was an odd choice for the guests’ dinner. Chicken and beef would’ve been a safer bet. The lunch provided was quite pathetic. Bland vegetable curry, no other meat options provided except little chicken curry pies. Bland rice. Coriander was used a lot throughout the day too, which again is very divisive. I had to get McDonald’s on my way home. For anyone using this venue, I strongly suggest bringing in external catering or ensuring there’s a different chef or something.

Eaten here twice and absolutely terrible. You keep thinking, "mmm. This looks delicious," and then you wish you could spit it out instead of swallow. I wish I could vomit instead of feeling it digest. What 5 star hotel serves bakes beans with over cooked salmon? And no salt? Thank goodness I didn't have to pay for anything today or I would have made a fuss. And for the love of God update your decor! And the chandeliers look so tacky, they do not look artistic or chic in any way. I just stood there, staring at it, wondering what in the world was the installer trying to achieve with that placement. I could go on but, anyway! Thought it was just the high tea that was bad 15 years ago, but just goes to show it hasn't improved in a decade and a half!

The driveway is on the corner, My GPS took me around the block a few times until I worked it out 🤦‍♂️. Great rooms, great bar & restaurant.

I recently stayed at Duxton Hotel Perth and had a really great experience. The reception team was super friendly, welcoming, and always helpful whenever I needed anything. They made the whole stay feel very comfortable from the moment I arrived. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices and everything tasted fresh. Definitely one of the highlights of the stay. I was also lucky to get a room on a high floor with a beautiful river view, and waking up to that view every morning was fantastic. The room was clean, spacious, and very relaxing. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back again.

I booked for Saturday before mother's day to treat my mom to a special evening in the city. Being a 5 star hotel my expectations were high. I can't fault the staff at all, they were so helpful and understanding. We checked in very quick and easy by friendly staff member Sara. Sadly when we got in our room the bathroom smelled like mould. I went down to reception and notified Sara of the problem and that I have asthma. She gave me a room key to go check another room and smell the bathroom. Sadly it also smelled like mould. She then went with us to a 3rd room which also smelled like mould. Then we went to a 4th room which finally had no mould smell. The room was the same as our original room but the bathroom was smaller and there was no double sink like the original room. It was back and forth from lobby to rooms, but we finally found one where we could be comfortable for the night. Sara was very professional and friendly. I just think that this shouldn't have been a problem to start with considering it is a 5 star hotel. Sadly on my next visit to Perth it is very unlikely for me to book at the Duxton again.

Lovely hotel. Quiet rooms with no noise heard from street outside from the 10th floor. Filtered water. Fabulous shower with both fixed and handheld shower heads. Easy to use controls for air con and shower. Pillow menu too. Bedside power sockets and light switches. Very clean and big bathroom. Good location.

The staple 5 star hotel in Perth. I think it might have seen better days in the past, although the new carpet in the room helps. I love the filtered tap water in the room, and easy reach location to the state buildings. Did have some hiccups during check in, but they were eventually resolved. The hotel gym is very reasonable, and comes with a sauna. The pool is lack lustre and feels more like a pond than a pool. The lobby bar was being renovated, so let’s see what happens with that space. Another challenge was trying to order room service direct via the phone. Was told to scan the QR code (which wasn’t working) and they couldn’t transfer me through to the restaurant…they lost another 150 bucks they could have gotten from us. All they had to do was take the order for us and pass it to the restaurant - the Hilton down the road doesn’t have this issue. Stayed here a few times, and I won’t be coming back again.

Great location, newly refurbished rooms, good value. Valet parking excessive $65, but the rest was great

A very good value five-star hotel, and parking is convenient nearby.
