The Thousand Kyoto

This is my third stay this year. I've been captivated by this hotel ever since my first stay... The smiles of the front desk staff, the location, the rooms... Everything is perfect. I'm especially a huge fan of the robot Naomi-chan, and I've stayed here three times just to see her. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay here four or five more times. See you then, Naomi-chan! ♡

Both the atmosphere and the service were top-notch. It was a first-class hotel.

Breakfast is bad, burger is too sweet and not much of selection for 6800 yen. I got a late call at night for one of the guests without breakfast plan disreguard for privacy. Totally unacceptable.

Warm welcome. Fairly spacious and modern rooms. Very modern hotel in every respect. Two minutes from the train station.

I chose this hotel through the EX Travel Package because it was close to the station and seemed to have a nice atmosphere. I stayed for four nights and was very comfortable and satisfied. Breakfast was included, with both Western and Japanese options. I had the Japanese breakfast every morning. It was a Kyoto-style meal with dashi broth, tofu, yuba (tofu skin), and a choice of rice porridge or white rice. The white rice was cooked at the table, and the side dishes were served in small bowls, making it a healthy and enjoyable meal. The room was also spotlessly clean, allowing me to relax and unwind.

Pure prison style, welcome to check in

The standard of 5 starts hotels is really not matched here. Staff is super friendly, as usual in Japan. The breakfast is disappointing and consistency is not reliable - not up to 5 stars standard. You can see it's a hotel thought and organized for masses.

Well located hotel, 100 yards from central exit of Kyoto station. Nice rooms with plenty of space and extremely clean and well maintained throughout. There were two breakfast rooms (American or Japanese). We chose American and it was good. Being near the station it easy to get to all the main sights. The room controls were via an iPad in the room which was in our minds an unneeded.
