Aachen House Boutique Hotel

What a beautiful boutique hotel. It is an old colonial building with plenty of original features. Located in a beautiful neighbourhood Newmarket and quite close to Cornwall park. I love the regular check in and check out times (2pm & 11am) which is really hard to get nowadays. The hotel itself is really beautiful and charming. Spacious bedrooms and public areas. We got the Rose room. Nicely decorated , high ceilings, original coving, French doors. It has two big beds with I think most comfortable mattresses we had during our stay in New Zealand. The host (Linda) is lovely, welcoming and helpful. There is a fridge and coffee making facilities in the room. Plenty of storage. Internet was pretty fast and reliable. We enjoyed our stay and would come back .

Looks really fancy but it feels like a ghost house, almost no one was there and we weren't allowed to use the super nice kitchen to cook our stuff.

What can I say that has not already been said about Aachen House!! From the first contact with Michael to the last chat and everything in between our whole experience was first class. I won’t repeat what others have said, there is no need to repeat it but I can say our stay there was most enjoyable and we have already booked the next one. Aachen House was a wonderful find, a beautiful boutique hotel with perfect hosts.

my friends and i called for a last minute booking as our previous room was cancelled but it was a beautiful place with a warm and welcome atmosphere. there were 4 of us staying in a two double bed room. everything was super clean and i have no complaints!! will be coming back again😌

Everything about this place is absolutely beautiful. Very welcoming hosts, very clean, very good location. A charming place to stay where everyone is treated like family. Highly recommend!

The location is good. The bed comfortable. A grand old house spiky into room. Breakfast was disappointing. Bags of granola/ muesli and some opened stale bags of 2 other cereals. Nice self serve espresso maker. Bread for toast. But with celiac it was very limiting.

Host was amazing, it is a lovely stay, I am recommending it to everyone, the rooms are historically renovated making it both modern and elegant. Can't wait to come back next month

I am not even kidding—THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY IN AUCKLAND. Linda, the owner, is incredibly kind and helpful. Our bags did not arrive with our flight and she allowed us to use the washer and dryer ourselves. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools you need. There is a BEAUTIFUL sitting area to relax and admire the back garden. We absolutely adored our stay here. It is so conveniently located and there is plenty of parking for guests. It is also very safe. The interior is so nice and the rooms are very spacious. Whatever you need during your stay, Linda is so helpful! Highly, HIGHLY recommend staying here while in Auckland.

Aachen house is a stunning boutique style accommodation that exudes old world charm, with modern conveniences. The rooms are private, staff friendly, and location central. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here with my family again.

The house is beautifully furnished. The room and bathroom were very spacious. It was very clean. The hostess was lovely.

the owner is so kind and generous, the beds are extremely comfortable and overall the space is so beautiful and unique. Everything seems so clean and you can tell that the owner cares about hygiene and providing a wonderful stay to customers.

This place!! If you get a room here you won the hotel lottery. The owners have lovingly restored and upgraded every tiny detail of this enormous antique mansion. It was an officer's hospital during World War II, but the gorgeous suites are more luxurious now than they could have possibly been historically. Each suite has a spacious bathroom, new period-style furnishings and soft bathrobes for every guest. State of the art comfort (air purifiers and pristine new linens and carpets) and technology in every room, including the huge sunroom, kitchen, dining room and games parlor. Cameras monitor the private off street parking area. It's newly opened and apparently still unknown, but the prices could skyrocket when it has a bit more exposure. The owners are the best kind of people; when our plans went awry Michael and Linda personally ensured we had food and transportation. I'd recommend this place to anyone - nobody could come away disappointed.
