Totally welcoming, I recommend it 1000%. Campbell is really attentive and helpful with any problem you might have, as is the receptionist. As for the accommodations, the rooms are quite spacious and look clean, as do the bathrooms. If you want a relaxing stay while in Auckland, I always recommend this place. This is my second time staying here and I wouldn't change it for anything.

Highly recommended, one of the best hostels I stayed in (in a single room). Very well equipped, cosy and clean kitchen, relaxed lounge, beautiful outside area (next to a park) and view. Perfect location to explore Auckland with nearby shops and bus station, foot distance to K-road.

A very clean hostel, with comfortable and spacious shared dorms. I stayed here as a solo traveller, and it's easy to get to know people there as it's smaller than other hostels, so you will see the same faces every day. And there are always new people who arrive every day too. As such, it has a more homely feel to other places, particularly with the staff as well since there are only a few of them, and they do a great job. It's a 2 minute walk away from a supermarket, which is incredibly handy. Ponsonby Road that is next to the hostel is full of restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, whatever you want it'll be there. There's a beautiful park right next door, which is lovely for a short walk. The hostel has a very spacious garden which is perfect for hanging up clothes in the sun. As there aren't many people staying there, there's always plenty of room on the clothesline. It's close to the city centre, it will take about 15-20 mins to walk there. About 25 mins walk or a short bus journey to the waterfront as well. Overall, I'd highly recommend staying here, if you're travelling or on holiday, on you're own or in a group, it's perfect to explore Auckland.

It was my first check in in New Zealand and I loved it. Welcoming staff, clean rooms, all amenities needed and close to city center as well as some nice cafès in the area.

What a beautiful place to stay just outside downtown Auckland, walkable to shops, cafes, and night life scene. They were very accommodating after arriving from a early international flight, storing our bags until check in so we could explore. Clean tidy rooms, large kitchen and common space. Great place for single backpackers, or families traveling with older teens. We will stay here again.
