Garden Hotel

My family arrived in Christchurch on 21 May 2026 and we stayed at Wyndham Gardens located at 64 Kilmore Street till 26 May 2026. We enjoyed the spacious clean rooms during our stay and the breakfast was tasty too. The staff are friendly. The hotel provides complimentary drinks such as tea, coffee and hot chocolate. This was a great supper. We appreciate their gesture and hospitality.

Very good hotel if you have a longer stay. Great amenities in the room, is only serviced every 3 days and you don't get much of a bin so if you have take out you'll either need to take it out yourself or wait for a few days. Not all the windows open on rooms and the large north facing rooms don't circulate air so well, but they had a good ac unit which almost made up for that. The bed was really comfortable. Toilet and shower are great. And the free hotel WiFi was really fast allowing for any work done in the room to be done easily.

Only used the restaurant, which is an 'alĺ you can eat' style buffet set up. The food selection was nicely presented and they provide a variety of dishes. Not a lot of flavour to the food, however. The staff are friendly and the service was good. Very easy set-up for a large group as you pay a set price upon entry then each person just helps themselves to whatever they fancy. Cost is fine if you're a big eater and have seconds, but dear if you're just having a single plate meal. ($52 per adult.)

That speed bump is brutal

Fantastic suite 2 bedrooms with all the modern cons including washer/dryer, great little Cafe downstairs for breakfast and very good coffee. Great location walking distance to the city and right around the corner from the Casino

Excellent location, right across from the park on one side and casino on the other. Very central if you don’t have a car, with a 10-15 minute walk to shopping and heaps of restaurants. Clean, tidy rooms, good sized bathroom. Cafe conveniently downstairs. Thank you very much to Zoe for your friendly hospitality and many recommendations for places to eat and things to do around Christchurch. You are a gem! We would definitely stay again on our next trip.

Everything was so nice in this room. Clean and tidy, friendly staff. One thing I would add is handwash.

We booked a deluxe room with two double beds. Excited to stay for our rugby trip in a good location for 5 nights. The first night the tv wouldn't work, staff were unable to get it to work so they had to get the maintenance man in the next day, unable to change rooms as they were booked. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting with mould round the bath/shower, up the wall, tiles and all over the roof and a lamp not working in the heat lamp. We had to complain, they sent cleaners in, was cleaned but there was still patches, alot better job could of been done and bathroom had very poor ventilation. The days after that cleaners attended, the bath was never cleaned and the room not vacuumed. Had to ask for tea towels and there was no toliet brush. We were disappointed, we wont be staying again and would not recommend this hotel.

This is my favourite place, it truly feels like a second home. All the staff, including the reception and café team, are so kind, welcoming, and friendly. I always feel comfortable and well looked after whenever I visit.

We spent couple of nights at Wyndham garden, Christchurch, a well deserved 4-star hotel and had a pleasant stay. The rooms were Good and tidy and offers great amenities, especially the Washer and dryer and air-conditioning. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast with good variety.
