The Radisson Blu Hotel Berlin is a reliable, if slightly corporate, launchpad for a trip to the German capital. This 427-room hotel, part of the Minnesota-based Radisson chain, tries to make a splash with its lobby design: a 25-meter-high cylindrical aquarium dominates the foyer, full of fish.
You'll find it on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, which is an extension of the historic Unter den Linden boulevard. That puts you in Mitte, one of Berlin's most central neighborhoods, handy for the biggest sights.
The location is probably the strongest selling point. Walk out the door and you're practically at the Pergamon Museum, Alte Nationalgalerie, Altes Museum, and Neues Museum. So if you're in Berlin for the culture, this spot works. Public transport (U-Bahn and S-Bahn) is nearby, too, making it easy to get to, say, the LGBTQ+ scenes in Schöneberg or Kreuzberg.
Since it's a big chain hotel, you get what you expect: professional service, standard amenities. It's a comfortable enough place to come back to after a day of sightseeing, and the fish tank is certainly a talking point.

Central located, kind staff, good service. Sauna and pool are a big plus when you had a long day of sightseeing
loved it
The room was unfinished, they left us an open bottle of water, quite used and half full; the room was very dark and without a floor lamp that we did see in other rooms.
An exceptional stay from start to finish. The hotel combines elegant design, a premium atmosphere, and impeccable attention to detail. What truly sets this property apart, however, is the staff – every interaction was met with genuine friendliness, professionalism, and a willingness to help. The breakfast experience deserves special recognition. The selection was excellent, with high-quality ingredients and plenty of variety, but the real highlight was the restaurant itself. The atmosphere, interior design, and overall ambience made breakfast feel like a luxury experience rather than just another hotel meal. Radisson Collection Berlin exceeded expectations in every way. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a first-class hotel experience in Berlin.
