I have never experienced such a disgusting and filthy hotel room in my life. The moment I entered, I felt utterly repulsed. The headboard was covered in dark stains, smears, and unidentifiable residue. One shudders to think what had been on it and how long it had been since it was cleaned. The curtains were also covered in stains; in some places, it looked as if drinks or other liquids had spilled on them. The walls were littered with dirt, stains, and scuff marks. The entire room appeared neglected, unhygienic, and simply repulsive. What is particularly appalling is that such filth is impossible to miss. This either means that the rooms are not being cleaned properly at all, or that the hotel simply doesn't care what condition the rooms are in when they are rented to guests. We were unable to enjoy our stay in any way because of the constant feeling of filth and lack of hygiene. For a hotel that charges for accommodation, this condition is an absolute disgrace. The height of audacity: Despite the numerous deficiencies, photos as proof, and our complaint, we received not a single cent refund. No attempt at compensation, no apology, nothing. They take the money and leave guests with a room that resembles a dive that hasn't been cleaned in months. For us, this was one of the worst hotel experiences ever. Anyone who values cleanliness, hygiene, and respectful treatment of guests should steer clear of this hotel. Absolutely disgusting and not recommended. 🤮👎

The location is simply sensational; you practically fall onto the cathedral square and are right in the heart of the action. However, there are several shortcomings regarding the rooms, as well as the reception and check-out process. Even in the renovated rooms, neither the windows nor the cupboards, including the refrigerator, close properly. The room door was broken and could only be closed with considerable force. The mattresses, however, were very good. Upon check-out, we weren't even acknowledged or asked if everything was alright (the lady probably knew why)!

First, the positive aspects of the room: 1) Excellent location (near Cologne Central Station and Cologne Cathedral), you're right in the heart of things. 2) The room also has a balcony. 3) Check-in was very easy at the machine; everything was digital (quick and uncomplicated). Negative aspects: 1) No elevator (lots and lots of steep stairs to climb). 2) You can't walk in the room (tiny). It seems there are different room sizes?! It didn't look the size shown in the photos. If you sleep on the other side of the bed, you have to "crawl" over the bed to get to the bathroom or the exit. 3) For us personally, the room was very warm, especially in summer (no air conditioning, just a monstrously loud floor fan (which you practically have to turn off to sleep because it's "like a construction site")). 4) Netflix didn't work for us, despite multiple attempts to connect it to the Wi-Fi. 5) No proper blinds (more like a blackout blind with grooves), which means you wake up very early in spring/summer. For one night, it might be okay for some people because of the location, but otherwise, not recommended for €112.

Practical place in a very central location, close to the main station and city center. The room was clean and functional, but quite minimal with little extra comfort. Good option for a short stay
