What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the hotel's excellent, quiet location near the train station and the very good, varied breakfast buffet served at the sister hotel. However, some guests found the rooms to be basic, small, and occasionally had issues with cleanliness or maintenance, such as a bad smell in the bathroom or a broken elevator.

Very centrally located, very cute little room. The bathroom tiles in the shower area are dirty and clearly haven't been cleaned in a while. The toilet doesn't flush very well, and there are things stuck to the wooden bed frame that I don't want to know what they are (boogers 🤔😳). Anyway, it's only two nights, so I can overlook it. The rooms are very individually decorated and all in all in good condition. The room is very quiet.

Overall, we were quite satisfied with the hotel. It's worth mentioning that there are two buildings belonging to the Domstern/Domspitzen group. The Domspitzen houses the reception and breakfast. The other hotel only contains guest rooms.

Everyone was incredibly friendly, the receptionist was outstanding, simply superb! We were accommodated in the apartment building – perfect – the two single rooms were lovely little apartments. Wonderfully and lovingly furnished. The breakfast was excellent, with items replenished immediately... everyone was very attentive...

The positives: very centrally located, just a few minutes' walk from Cologne's main train station, cathedral, and city center. The breakfast (served a few meters away at the Hotel Domspitzen, where the reception is also located) is truly excellent; you can choose from egg dishes that are freshly prepared for you. Everyone should find something delicious at the buffet! Freshly cut fruit salad and smoothies were also very tasty. The negatives: the room is very small and extremely noisy; you can hear every sound from your neighbors and even from the street. The bathroom is tiny; you can barely sit on the toilet. The shower is also very small, and the showerhead sprays water in all directions. You shouldn't touch the showerhead holder or hairdryer holder, otherwise you'll end up holding them in your hand. The bed is very small (the double bed is actually two single beds pushed together), and the pillows are incredibly uncomfortable. There's no storage space for luggage, only a single chair in the room. Parking should have been reserved in advance, which we weren't aware of, so there were no spaces available, and parking around the hotel is a nightmare.

Superbly located right next to the cathedral. Unfortunately, the rooms are a bit noisy. The breakfast at the neighboring partner hotel was fantastic!
