Lovely hotel with comfortable rooms and a very convenient location that's tucked away from the crowds. The breakfast is decent for the price - everything in Iceland is expensive, especially food, so any buffet-style breakfast is better bang for your buck. Most of all, the staff were incredibly polite and welcoming. You can store your luggage if you arrive early. Merci!

Looooved the complimentary breakfast buffet!! Really high quality with great variety, even had the opportunity to try a shot of cod liver oil! The walls between rooms weren't very noise proof so you could hear the music from downstairs and when people were moving about. However it wasn't much of an issue as we were so exhausted from our travels. Service was great and I thought the lift was very cute and retro!

Very clean hotel with a great location. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. For my taste, the room was a little small. Nevertheless, I recommend it.

We had the most perfect stay at Local 101. First of all our room was upgraded as we were there to celebrate my mums birthday which was so kind! The breakfast was great, they even prepared us a takeaway breakfast for the morning we were checking out as it would be super early! The staff were kind, helpful and lovely. Location was perfect, around the corner from bus stops and a short walk to the harbour. Overall highly recommend and hoping to be back one day!!

The hotel is very good, offering a great balance between price and quality. €145 including taxes for a double room. The breakfast is very good. It's a perfect place to spend a couple of nights in Reykjavik, Iceland, before continuing your trip. Excellent service from the staff.

Fantastic place, friendly staff. The cozy, candlelit restaurant downstairs was perfect coming off a long day of travel. Parking tip: There’s free parking within a few blocks. Download the Parka app and look for “colorless” areas on the map.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect from the very first moment. We were pleasantly surprised right at check-in when the staff informed us they had upgraded us to a larger, more comfortable room at no extra cost. It was a wonderful gesture that set the tone for the rest of our trip. However, the true test came when our airline canceled our flight the night before departure. We had to stay in Reykjavik for an extra day, which could have been a nightmare. Instead, the incredibly kind and helpful staff made it stress-free. They arranged for us to stay in the same room in less than a minute. After spending over an hour on the phone with the airline and dealing with car rental logistics, their efficiency and empathy were exactly what we needed. The room was spacious, super comfortable, and perfectly equipped. We didn't miss a single thing. Free coffee available all day long. The location is perfect, in the city center.

Stopped on the off chance, for a beer,the welcome and service is excellent. Beer, excellent as well. A lovely find.
