Centrally located. 1 minute walk to the groceries. 2- 5 minutes on foot from "everything" like Laugavegur, Törnin, Hallgrimskirkja, Harpa etc. Small but clean single room with balcony (looking backyard; an oacis with trees and flowers; like bringing the nature "inside"). Keep the balcony door open and enjoy the fresh air! Towels provided. Shared bathroom. Clean and big. Shared kitchen with everything you need to make your own food. Enjoy breakfast on your balcony! No service like a reseption (that's 4 stars), but good communication by e-mail before I arrived! I got every inquiery answered. Door code given 2 days before I arrived. No problem getting in, or to find my room (same code). Good bed!

The location is excellent, right in the city center, making it easy to walk to Reykjavik's most important sights. The room was equipped with everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable enough. We were worried it might be cold, but we were completely wrong. The radiator was very hot, so the heat was very comfortable. We didn't use earplugs; there was no noise at night; our neighbors simply kept quiet. The communal kitchen was very well equipped (a refrigerator with baskets assigned to rooms, a dishwasher, etc.) and clean (a dish drainer would be helpful). Shoes are usually left in the hallway, which keeps things clean. A big plus is the coffee, salt, and pepper that are available for self-catering. Check-in is simple, and the property provides clear instructions.

Was booked last minute due to original accommodation cancellation the day before arrival. Nice place, great location but very poor nights sleep due to poor sound proofing both inside and out. Ear plugs were provided but even with these sleep was broken from late night check ins and late night conversations from people walking by. I suspect the upper floor rooms would be better. Has a usable kitchen/dinning area, and a power loss during the night was quickly solved by the host.

Avoid this place. Our room wasn't clean and located near a park where drunks and crackheads hang out at night
