Nicest hostel I've ever stayed in. Very new. They have activities like pub crawls. And a beautiful garden out back.
We had a pleasant stay. The room was rather small, but it had a balcony. The breakfast was simple but good.
It's clean, it's functional, and the rooms are small, very small
Hi everyone, Eugene here. I can honestly say that Snoozles is one of the best and brightest hostels in Galway. It was my home for a month when I first arrived in Ireland, and I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better place to start this new chapter of my life. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the people there helped me get on my feet. Moving to a new country can be overwhelming, and their support, kindness, and patience made a real difference. A huge thank you goes to everyone working there: Amy and Flori from the housekeeping team; Antonia, Eve, Kate and Valentina at reception; Dunough on the night shift; others as Samira; and Matthew the manager, who helped me through countless administrative and bureaucratic hurdles, including the paperwork I needed for my PPSN application. They all helped me through the many little challenges of everyday life in a new country — some funny, some stressful, and some that felt impossible at the time. Since then, I've been working in a pub, moved into a house, and started building a new life here in Galway, piece by piece (still working on it). Looking back now, even though I've been gone for over a month, I can honestly say that none of it would have been possible without the support I received at Snoozles. Of course, having a house comes with many comforts that no hostel can offer, but the warmth, encouragement, and human support I found there were more than I could ever have expected. Even now, more than a month after leaving, I have to admit it still makes me a little sad sometimes. A place is a place, after all. But no place is really anything without the people you share it with. They're the missing piece. They're what comes back to you whenever you leave somewhere you once called home. Because you know what you shared with them, what you're leaving behind, and what you'll probably spend quite a long time looking for again — not because it's impossible to replace, but because some people and some experiences simply leave their mark on your life. Thank you again to everyone at Snoozles. Hope to see you all again soon. ❤️✨☘️ Eugene
I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel for next reasons: First of all, the rooms are equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay: fans, air purifiers or air conditioning, and clean, well-maintained bathrooms. It’s clear that cleanliness is taken seriously here. Secondly, the free breakfast included in the price was a nice bonus. Guests can choose from different kinds of cereals, jams, and fresh fruit. During my stay, bananas and apples were available — a great way to start the day. I would also like to highlight the polite and friendly staff. The team creates a welcoming atmosphere and is always ready to help. They have a good lounge zone where you can play ping pong, pool or enjoy your time near a fountain. One very small downside is that the hostel is located close to the road, so some traffic noise can be heard. However, after spending such a great evening in Galway, I came back and slept peacefully even with the window open, and the noise did not bother me at all. I didn’t need earplugs, but I think offering them at reception for a small additional fee could be a nice extra touch. As a bonus this hostel has an ATM inside, which saves your time.
We had a nice stay in the twin room, good breakfast.
Great place to stay! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the location is amazing and breakfast has everything one needs. The rooms are small but absolutely sufficient.
