What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the Nox Hotel for its exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, as well as its good food and comfortable rooms, with many feeling it deserves a higher rating than its 3-star status. However, some guests have reported issues with room maintenance, such as wobbly toilet bowls or shower heads that move during use, and one reviewer had a negative experience regarding a disputed charge for a damaged lamp.

Rooms are average, breakfast is okay but dinner and service is super!

While it's not walking distance from anything special, it's a very nice hotel with friendly staff. I had no trouble finding a parking place. We had to leave for the airport in Dublin before the breakfast service opened.

Best hotel we stayed in in Ireland. Stayed for 5 nights for a conference. Chose Nox as it looked to have larger rooms than average and I have a toddler that likes to run around. Management run a tight ship. Best house keeping service of the trip. They were visibly working even at 8 am and always managed to get in to attend to the bins and refresh the room (we had some missed days with other hotels). Breakfast was the same everyday but decent selection and the staff were very efficient at refilling the stations. Once, I came 20 min before breakfast finished and staff were still ensuring plates were hot and sufficient hot food was present. Beds were of the softer feel but we all slept very well. Bathrooms were kept very clean. The hotel is a refurbished older hotel but has modern furnishings. Although it is not in the city centre, it is not a difficult walk and we liked the free car parking. Staff were faultless.

First stop on our 10 day holiday to Southern Ireland! Room was immaculately clean and really quiet both nights. Great water pressure for the shower! Ivan the bartender/jack of all trades was really friendly, helpful and a mini tour guide! Recommended a wide variety of restaurants, activities and can't miss things in and around Galway. Explained the tax free program for US citizens. Nox was a great starting before heading south to Tralee. If we would go back to Galway would definitely stay here again!
