The Sliding Rock
Visitors frequently praise the friendly and attentive staff, convenient location, and good food, particularly the fish and chips and steak dinners. However, a common complaint is that the rooms are very small, with some describing the bathrooms as being like a broom cupboard or closet, and noise from the street or downstairs can be an issue.

Room 4 is ridiculously small due to its bathroom. Avoid it if you have back problems, are tall, or overweight, as the toilet will be inaccessible. The room is also very noisy.
This place was exactly what I was looking for while traveling through Ireland. Room is small but cozy. Bed is super comfortable. Parking onsite. The only down side was understanding that I had to go into the pub to "check-in". This is also my first time in Ireland, so forgive my misunderstanding. The actual room is two doors down, which is no problem. Looking forward to a good night's sleep.
Nice food there
I have not reason to complain. The staff were simply great and helpful. The music from the bar, was my worry. But, it was promptly turned off when the cut-off time arrived. The breakfast was fab too! I'd definitely use the The Sliding Rock again, and soon too!
I didn’t stay at the hotel but we had a lovely dinner outside. The fish and chips and the veggie curry were great. The staff was lovely and efficient. The food literally arrived 5 minutes after the order. And the staff was kind enough to email me a duplicate receipt that I had misplaced : )
A great local and a motley crew intent on stories, laughter frequent...
