About This Event
Utrecht Pride is the Netherlands' third-largest pride celebration. It's a summer event, set in the historic city center, with the Dom Tower and Oudegracht canal district as its backdrop.
You'll find a street parade through the old city and a festival program in the central squares. This is a university city, and its LGBTQ+ community is young, politically engaged, and rooted here, not aimed at tourists.
Utrecht Pride has grown as the city's confidence in its own cultural identity has grown. Medieval architecture, canal cellar bars, and a student scene make for a distinctive Dutch character. It's smaller than Amsterdam or Rotterdam Pride, but it feels more intimate, more authentic.
Utrecht is 26 minutes from Amsterdam by train. Easy to combine with WorldPride 2026 if you're in the Netherlands that summer.
