Groningen Pride
About This Event
Pride Groningen is the main Pride of the northern Netherlands, run by the volunteer foundation Stichting Pride Groningen. The city is a big university town, so the crowd is young. In 2024 Groningen hosted Roze Zaterdag, the national Pride day, which moves to a different city each year.
The main day is a Saturday in June. In 2026 it started with a rainbow church service in the Martinikerk and an information market on the Grote Markt. The Pride Walk set off from the Ossenmarkt at noon, with gathering from 11am, and ended on the Grote Markt, where the Pride Plein stage ran until midnight with drag acts and DJs. The Friday had a drag artist contest at The Social Hub, and the official afterparty was at the club FIXY.
Practical: everything on the Grote Markt is free. Groningen is a little over two hours by train from Amsterdam.
The 2026 edition ran 19 to 21 June. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
