About this place CULTUR / RIOT (formerly TABU)

CULTUR / RIOT is a queer club night in Galway city centre, the current incarnation of the night that launched as TABU in 2024. It runs at Cuba, the nightclub on Prospect Hill just off Eyre Square, and has also used The Loft. The night showcases queer DJs and performers and draws a young, alternative crowd. Like Club GASS, it is a recurring event rather than a permanent venue, so enjoying Galway's LGBTQ+ nightlife means keeping an eye on listings for the next date. Together the two nights form the backbone of the city's queer social calendar outside of Pride week.
