The Bulldog Hotel

Martine was very kind super friendly and the the girl in security and and another waitress girl was so rud they were smoking and ignoring to answer questions and she they were all the time on their phone

They call their bar the living room of Amsterdam, but I would not want to live there. However, if you're into combining drinking pints and smoking a spliff, this is your go to option.

Great hotel for a stay in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, there's no heating in the room, and the windows facing the canal aren't very well sealed. Consequently, there's a bit of a draft, and you can hear quite a lot of street noise. It didn't bother me, but it's good to know. :) And there's no hairdryer, which would have been really nice. Excellent accessibility! Highly recommended!

Nice performance during Red Light Jazz. Quite bizarre that you are allowed to smoke inside.

Perfect location. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Good service in general, everyone very friendly. Me and my friends had a lot of fun and a good time.

All female dorm was clean and comfy, only suggestion would adding be curtains to the bunk beds more privacy. Def a good place if you’re staying in Amsterdam for a couple of nights and need a spot near the city center/Centralstaation or if you’re solo traveling.

Great location, just a short walk from the station and not too far from many sights. The rooms are on the smaller side, especially the bathroom's tiny, but functional and clean. Apparently I've been living under a rock as I had never heard of The Bulldog, so I didn't know it was a super famous coffee shop. I had read in the hotel's description that smoking weed is allowed in the bar but not in the hotel rooms, so I was fine with that. Upon arrival, the bar door was open, so there was the smell of weed in the lobby. But that was ok, didn't plan to sleep there. Good for smokers: you can smoke on balconies and a small roof terrace. Not good for non-smokers: all that smoke will come through your window's built-in ventilation thingy (on any setting) and sometimes even through the AC, so that's unfortunate. But I guess I should've just read up on this hotel a little better. So this is not really a complaint but more like a hint for idiots like me: there'll be weed smell everywhere. Not as bad in the room, but it's still there. If that doesn't bother you, this hotel is great, it's clean, it's got everything you need.
