Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel

Transportation is very convenient. Located near the train station with direct access to the airport.

The only reason I am not giving this 5 star is because the morning after I checked into my room and went to take a shower the body soap was empty and I realized there was no hand soap. I arrived very late my first night. I went to the front desk and notified them when I went out for the day and they informed me they would put a request in. The body wash was filled by I was still missing the hand soap. I went back down and was given soap. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. Room was very nice.

The hotel itself and rooms are at good level, everything in good standard, breakfast with good choice of food even for people with different eating disorders. The big con here was at check-in. I was asked about my e-mail but was not asked if I want to create an account in Radisson Rewards programme. In the e-mail there is no option to unsubscribe e-mails, I have even my ID created and I am asked to activate my account. I am marking this as spam and hope others will do the same as this is unacceptable.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the pillows were decent. The location is central, close to Oslo train station and the Oslo bus station. One area for improvement is the elevator system. It might be difficult for elderly people to use (I helped several elderly people who were confused by the buttons, and they all complained about the same thing – it's similar to an office elevator system where you touch and press the floor number, then it shows which elevator you want to go to, and sometimes it doesn't open at the correct floor).

A very large, mid-range hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We had a room on the 17th floor, and the view was amazing! There's a swimming pool on the 35th floor and a fitness room on the 37th. The restaurant and terrace are nice. The breakfast is very varied, with even a gluten-free section. We stayed for three nights.

We stayed at the hotel during a hotel staff strike, but despite the circumstances, we were still very well taken care of. The reception staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was quite crowded, and the selection was somewhat limited, but it was still satisfactory. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The location is excellent — the hotel is right next to Central Station, making it incredibly convenient for both exploring the city and traveling to and from the airport.

Average hotel, but the value for money is disappointing. On my next visit to Trondheim, I will probably choose a different hotel. The hotel charges high prices for simple extras, such as €60 for a pair of flip-flops. That is not commensurate with what you get, especially since this is often free at other establishments. Additionally, the mattress was clearly sagging, with a noticeable dip in the middle, which did not improve sleeping comfort. The hotel is very massive and impersonal. Breakfast feels busy and chaotic, more like a canteen than a relaxed hotel experience. The many cruise ship tourists contribute even more to this. All in all, not recommended for Trondheim. The impression arises that the focus is primarily on maximizing revenue, while comfort and guest experience lag behind.
