About this place Thon Hotel Opera

Right next to Oslo Central Station, this hotel makes a good home base for LGBTQ+ travelers wanting to explore Norway's capital. Being so close to the station means you can hop on public transport or airport connections without fuss, leaving more time to actually see Oslo. The area around the station is well-linked, putting you a quick ride from the city's gay scene and cultural spots. You'll find rooms here for different budgets, from singles to bigger suites. All of them have a flat-screen TV and free WiFi. Some rooms even look out onto the Oslo Fjord and the Opera House, a real landmark on the waterfront. It’s a comfortable setup that doesn't cost a fortune. There's a sauna on site, and the breakfast buffet is pretty generous: fresh fruit, vegetables, breads, and cold cuts to get your day started. It's practical, comfortable, and welcoming in a city that’s generally very friendly to LGBTQ+ visitors.

Great location, great choice for a short trip, in the city center, next to the train central station, opera house… Great service, breakfast excellent. Rooms are not too big, but very clean. Very friendly staff!

A disaster! The lady at the reception explained to us the minimum and with quick angles that we had a hard time understanding I asked for a nice room and she told us it was a beautiful room Surprise! A room that the only view was a stone wall in front There was no complimentary water in the room and no explanation of anything In the bathroom there was only bottled soap, no body milk and nothing The towels were very thin and worn Since they were on strike, they didn't change our bed!!!! Not even the towels, we had to go look for them at the elevator counter as well as the toilet paper and tissues, we had the room's drawers bursting, after 4 nights I do not recommend this hotel! It is the worst hotel I have ever been to in my life and also very expensive I will make a complaint that I am sure they will not answer
