An all-round wonderful dining experience! Cru Wine & French Food impresses with a marvellous combination of French culinary artistry and high-quality regional ingredients. Every dish was perfectly balanced in flavour and lovingly presented. I was particularly impressed by the excellent wine selection, for which the waiting staff offered expert recommendations. The atmosphere is also stylish yet pleasantly relaxed – perfect for a special evening. The service was attentive, friendly and professional, without being intrusive. Anyone in Oslo looking for fine dining and excellent wine pairings should definitely visit this restaurant. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food, and lovely wine recommendation. Was a regular guest at Cru at their previous location in Industrigaten, but was not disappointed on this visit to the new premises - quite the opposite. An already good overall experience has been elevated another notch!

Cru impressed us, despite the somewhat chaotic service. We went to Cru on an ordinary Wednesday, and were immediately impressed by the cozy atmosphere in the place. Strict, neat, but still nice. A pleasant waiter took our orders, we ordered bread (a little disappointed that it was not included, but it was good) and Iberian croquettes for starters. We got bread and a load of Iberian ham instead - so far so good, we got to keep the ham and get the croquettes on top. The ham was delicious, and the croquettes were magical - packed with the kind of flavor you only get from Spanish umami bomb ham. The main course was an 800 gram tomahawk steak from dry-aged dairy cow, and this was exceptionally good. Very competently prepared, with very good side dishes. A high-class meat meal! The wine we drank with it was good. Not magical, but standard good without adding anything special to the steak. It must be said that it is very rare that I have experienced that wine makes a significant difference to the experience of a meal, but there was nothing to directly fault with the wine either. After we had paid, we saw that we had paid for a bottle of wine instead of a glass of wine, which led to a bit of chaos and confusion with the bill, but we were refunded the wine bottle afterwards, so it went well. That plus the wrong ham makes me take the service down a notch, but it feels a bit unfair since our waiter was nice and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Cru - cozy place and very good food!
