City Box Oslo
Visitors praise Citybox Oslo for its excellent central location near the train station and its smooth, automated check-in process. However, many found the rooms to be very small and lacking basic amenities like drinking glasses, tissue boxes, and sufficient surfaces for toiletries, with one reviewer noting mold in the bathroom.

via Stay22About this place City Box Oslo
City Box Oslo is a simple, modern hotel for LGBTQ+ travelers who want to avoid the usual Oslo city-center prices.
You'll find it on Prinsens gate, right in the middle of things. Rooms are basic but well-designed: a good bed, a desk, some storage, and your own shower. They skip the fluff here, so you're paying for a clean, functional place to sleep, not a bunch of amenities you won't use. Smart if you're out exploring all day.
They clean your room when you leave, and weekly if you're staying longer. No daily fuss. A bakery right next door handles breakfast and light meals, so grabbing a bite is easy before you head out.
This spot puts you close to Oslo's main sights, restaurants, and the gay scene. Think of it as a solid basecamp for Pride, a quick city break, or a business trip. Your money goes to experiences, not fancy hotel perks. Head to their website for booking and to see what rooms are available.

A self check in hotel. Located just where you need to be. Close to central station and jernbanetorget subway and trams round the corner.
Excellent location. Small room with reasonable price. I arrived in the morning and the staff was kind enough to let me check in early without any charges. (because the room was available) Impressive!
Super hotel: modern, clean, with all necessary electrical appliances and areas for eating and relaxing.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. I stayed here for only 1.5 days, but instead of enjoying my trip, I spent more than 3 hours trying to resolve problems caused by the hotel’s laundry service and technical issues with their app. The washing machines were not dispensing soap at all, despite payment being completed. Even after contacting reception and trying to restart the process, the problem was still not properly resolved. Other guests also witnessed the issues with the system and app. What made the situation even more disappointing was the way the issue was handled. For a hotel charging more than $200 per night, I expected professional service and proper customer support, but instead it caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience during my very short stay. I will attach screenshots of my communication regarding this issue. Unfortunately, this experience seriously affected my impression of the hotel. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this property.
No parking (only available nearby but very expensive at €10/h)
The hotel was everything we were looking for: excellent location, very spacious and clean rooms. The staff was incredibly friendly.
