Örebro has no gay hotel, and we're not going to pretend any of the hotels below is one. They are mainstream hotels in a country where same-sex couples checking in together is unremarkable. The real question is location: stay in the centre, between the central station, the castle and Stortorget, and everything, including RFSL Örebro on Västra Nobelgatan, is walkable.

Central and by the river

    • Home Hotel Borgen, Klostergatan 1: 19th-century building by the Svartån near the castle. Breakfast, afternoon fika and a light evening meal are included. Best Google score of the big central hotels (4.4).
    • Clarion Hotel Örebro, Kungsgatan 14: 136 rooms, pool, sauna, gym and a lobby bar with live music on some nights.
    • Elite City Hotel Örebro, Kungsgatan 24: 115 renovated rooms, wine bar, pets allowed.
    • Elite Stora Hotellet, Drottninggatan 1: the 1858 grand hotel opposite the castle. Its main building is being renovated, and guests stay in the adjacent Lilla Hotellet until spring 2027.
    • Mojo Hotell, Stortorget 12: right on the main square.
    • Morris Hotel, Fredsgatan 11: independent, plain and central.

    By the station

    • Livin Station, Östra Bangatan 3: next to the central station, rated 4.5 from about 280 Google reviews.
    • Scandic Örebro Central, Östra Bangatan: standard Scandic beside the station.

    Further out

    • Scandic Grand Örebro, Fabriksgatan 21–23: about 224 rooms beside the Conventum congress centre, ten minutes' walk west of Stortorget.
    • Scandic Örebro Väst, Västhagagatan: west side, for drivers.
    • Good Morning Örebro, Stenbackevägen 2: budget rooms 2 km south by Gustavsvik (water park closed until the end of 2026), free parking.

When to book early

Nerike Pride (16–22 August 2027) and big conferences at Conventum fill the central hotels. Otherwise Örebro rarely sells out.
