It was impossible to sleep well in room 8; it picked up all the noise from the lobby. The floor was green and muddy, not very inviting. The other aspects of the hotel were standard. Very nice decor.

What an incredible, cozy, and memorable place. I will definitely stay there again.

For a short stay, the accommodation on the upper floor is fine. The room downstairs was stuffy and smelled musty. Breakfast was tasty and nicely presented. The pool was clean. The staff was friendly. We stayed at this accommodation both before and after our trip to an Amazon lodge.

The decor is a bit dated but everything works. The location is perfect, the rooms are quiet, the beds are comfy, the breakfast is good. I'd come back.

Due to a flight delay, we were only there for 5 hours – most of which we slept.... breakfast was quaint, rustic Brazilian style, like the entire accommodation.

A charming vintage place, some of my clients like to stay at this hotel.

I don't usually write reviews, but I have to for this one. Room: Our room, 8b, was absolutely unacceptable. The glass doors facing the street had large gaps, allowing mosquitoes to easily enter. Furthermore, all the street noise penetrated the room unfiltered. Even worse were the loud noises from the lobby directly above the room. From 7:00 a.m. onwards, sleep was impossible. The extra beds were as hard as concrete and offered no comfort whatsoever. The floor was constantly wet, and the room had an unpleasant odor. I can't give the room any stars. Service: I can't say much about the service. We arrived at 2:00 a.m., and at least check-in went smoothly. Location: The location is unsuitable for tourists. There are virtually no attractions nearby; the only noteworthy thing was the theater, which can easily be visited on a two-hour trip at most. Conclusion: The hotel was very disappointing overall: too noisy, too dark, poorly maintained, and the pool looked neglected. The location is unattractive for tourists (which, of course, isn't directly the hotel's fault). The service was okay, but the overall experience just wasn't right. I can't recommend this hotel. In the end, we changed hotels after one night.

The hotel is in a good location, in a beautiful old house. It has good potential for a boutique hotel. I had stayed at the house a few years ago and really wanted to go back, but unfortunately this experience was quite bad. First of all, maintenance needs improvement. The pillows were of very poor quality, the air conditioning was old, I couldn't change the settings with the remote, the mosquito net smelled of mold, and the shower had water pressure directed towards the wall. Breakfast was a big disappointment. Very few options, they didn't even have French bread when I went down. And they still charge extra for tapioca, eggs, and other items that are basic in any other hotel. I want to emphasize all this because we are not talking about a cheap daily rate. Even the pool was green.

The location is excellent and the colonial house is beautifully decorated. However, the rooms don't match the price, with worn-out bedding and towels, old pillows, and a poor bathroom. The owner, Berna, was a sweetheart and treated us very well!
