Walking through the doors of Monasterio, we were completely speechless. The moment you enter this stunning 17th-century monastery, you realize you’re not just checking into a hotel — you’re stepping into a living, breathing work of art. We genuinely couldn’t believe we were lucky enough to call this place home, even for just a couple of nights. We truly felt like we were stepping back in time. The architecture alone is worth the visit. The lobby’s massive stone arches and grand fireplace set the tone immediately, and the beauty only deepens as you explore. A gorgeous chapel sits right off the courtyard, and dinner in the arched corridor restaurant — overlooking a courtyard that houses Cusco’s last remaining cedar tree, more than 300 years old — is an experience we’ll never forget. Every corner you turn reveals something extraordinary. Our room was equally impressive, with soaring ceilings, museum-worthy artwork, and a charming loft that made it feel both grand and cozy. And do yourself a favor: order room service at least one night. We felt completely spoiled. What truly elevated our stay, though, was the Belmond-caliber service. When we reported a small issue with our room, four staff members responded immediately, confirmed the concern, moved us to a new room on the spot, and even upgraded us in the process. That kind of responsiveness is rare anywhere. Special thanks to both Bryans (we believe they were the managers on duty) — their personal attention and genuine care made all the difference. To the entire staff of Monasterio: thank you for giving us the trip of a lifetime. You exceeded every expectation and left us with memories we’ll treasure forever.

We had three wonderful nights here. Food was great, book the opera dinner, music is fantastic. Server Soncco was so delightful for our breakfast and dinner. Elver the maitre d was especially helpful. The location is perfect and the rooms are well appointed. This is a property you don't want to leave!!

We loved our stay here! The food was amazing (especially breakfast), the rooms were large, the beds were comfy, and the staff was accommodating and nice. Special shout out to Joe and the bar staff. Super friendly, helped me practice my Spanish, recommended near by spots, and made great drinks. A+!
