Grandm'a Suite

If I could give the location more than 5 stars, I would. It is very close to the Mendenhall Glacier, the airport and a bus stop is to the left and right of the property. Depending on what brings you to Juneau, you don't necessarily need a car. I think Capitol Transit is the bus line that stops at those stops. Not sure, so you'd need to check. I know that it goes downtown because I seen the destination location of the bus. If you are needing just an overnight stay and want to be close to the airport, that is another plus. If you are into hiking, that too makes the location ideal. I rented a car because I had booked shore excursions for my kids in downtown. Grannies was also conveniently located to restaurants, gas stations and stores, but they weren't too close to be a nuisance. I wouldn't want to stay in downtown Juneau if I come back. I can get that excitement at home. I didn't spend a fortune to visit the last frontier for the crowds and noise all day. I was able to use the washer and dryer during my stay. Grannies House is very quaint. The other guests that I had encountered during my 6 day stay were all very nice. Kelli was very nice each time I spoke with her also. Overall, it is an excellent value for the money and I would recommend it.

Grandmas house felt exactly like it's sounds. The beds were welcoming and soft along with clean. The kitchen allows for anything that you might need. I really felt at home and when I come back I will be looking to stay here again.

Room was clean furnished out of grandma's house old and dated. Bed was not comfortable had to by a memory foam to put on it. No local cable only internet tv. Common space in kitchen others left food on stove top in frying pan overnight and dishes in sink ..
