Waterfront on Glacier

We had a reservation and paid $420 for 1 night. Paid deposit 4 months before our stay. We show up and the hotel is closed for renovations. We were never notified of this. They should have notified and refunded us before we had to search for a new place in the middle of high season. What sort of reputable business does this? Said they have an agreement with Ramada, but Ramada said they do not.

Five stars for Zac the GM, one star for amenities. For a price of $300+ a night during off season, you’d expect an elevator to the upper floor, a luggage rack, breakfast option as advertised, a simple do not disturb decal, basic toiletries like emery boards or a shower cap, door keys that don’t go unsensitized every other use, two double bed rooms next to each other as reserved and room cleaning after you specifically ask to skip only one day. Well, don’t… because we had none of these. The hotel was empty but we were placed in two separate rooms far away from each other because we needed 4 beds. The rooms have kitchens which give you the opportunity to bring in your own food but when we made the reservations we liked the fact that breakfast was available. When arrived, we were told that the kitchen and the dining room area were being renovated. Oh and, you can hear everything said next door if people speak with their conversational voices. The walls are paper thin. The location was ok but we were charged water view rooms even though our rooms faced the mountains. It’s a place that we would not go back or recommend.

I booked a block of rooms for my company's board meeting in March of 2025. The staff were AMAZING in the planning every step of the way--even recommending local businesses for our needs. The rooms were absolutely stunning. (I FaceTimed multiple family members to show it off.) And the prices were unbeatable compared to other, older hotel chains in downtown Juneau. Some of our employees found the road noise loud in the balcony rooms overlooking the water, but the staff were immediately accommodating and got them mountain view rooms, which were much quieter. It was my first time coordinating travel for my company, and I got multiple compliments on the lodging choice. If I'm ever in Juneau for business or personal travel, I will be staying here again.

Best ever! Staff=my favorite- super accommodating, friendly, helpful. Rooms were lovely, view was beautiful. You can tell so much love, energy, time and attention has been poured into this place. I will be back, and I’ll bring all the people I love with me. Came for work, enjoyed it like a mini vacay. Love love love!

The waterfront on glacier is the best place to stay in Juneau. The staff is amazing makes you feel like family. Very clean when I come to the waterfront on glacier I feel right at home. My husband and I stayed there multiple times last year and have returned to Juneau this year and we would not even consider staying at another hotel. The waterfront on glacier is a 10 out 10.

I stayed here for awhile when I was working in Alaska and it is by far the best hotel I've been in, everything you could need is there and the staff are absolutely amazing!!!

The water front on glacier. I came in on Aug. I’m leaving tomorrow the 28th of February. Yes I lived for 6+ months. This hotel is by far hand down the best I ever stayed I. Deverk the owner and his mgrs Ty and Sara and jojo in room service. Top notch.

This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at in Alaska. The hotel is newly reinvented; even the ceilings made from cedar are stunning. My room has a balcony that over looks the harbor. The extremely kind and happy owner walked me to my room, and he even gave me a tour of the new gym. You can tell that a lot of love is being put into this hotel and that this business only wants the best for their costumers. This is the only hotel I will stay at when visiting Juneau from now on. My room is spotless and there’s no chemical smell from cleaning products. Also, you can easily walk (3 to 9 blocks) to access food and quaint stores (even if it’s raining). At last, the bed is dreamy, and the towels are brand new.

Waterfront on Glacier is a beautiful and comfortable boutique hotel. The property has been extensively renovated recently and the location was perfect. The rooms are comfortable, modern, and clean. Very good value! We look forward to returning the next time we are in Alaska and highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Juneau.
