Stayed here May 21 - May 26 2026. My first room did not have hot water, the AC worked but only just, and the door had a gap in it letting all the warm air in. Even with these issues I enjoyed my stay. The staff quickly moved us to another room and apologized profusely for the inconvenience. The hot tub was wonderful and the cleaning lady stayed on top of things. They were constantly getting leaves and other natural debree out if the pool and turning on and off the jets as requested. We were the only people in this hotel our first 3 days there and it was quiet, cozy, and extremely affordable. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. You obviously get what you pay for, but for the price I think this was a sufficient experience.
We felt like this place misrepresented itself. We had to change rooms because the shower head was not working. Only two streams came out. It was kinda funny since it was advertised as a rainfall shower. The lights required plugging then in and pulling them out of the socket to turn on and off. The bed in our replacement room was hard as a rock. Imagine a pillowtop on a slab of concrete. I have had better sleeps camping on the ground and was a stiff mess the next day. We had to leave after one night. They offered an upgrade but at that point we didn't trust we could get a good night's sleep here. Location wasn't too bad but not worth the back pain when there are many other options nearby.
This is my second time staying here. It was even more comfortable than the last time. I will definitely stay here again.
A very nice hotel in Tulum. The staff is very friendly. The only downside is the disco noise until 2 a.m., which is a bit of a nuisance if you want to go to bed earlier. But that's not the hotel's fault :)
Very nice hotel in a great location, perfect for travelers. Small pool, rather spacious room.
- no hot water - no body wash - no shampoo - no manager - no ownership of the issue or complaints - loud music from neighbor businesses - lights don’t work - house lizards (gecko) chirping in the room Hotel Posada 06 in Tulum is a charming and cozy retreat that feels refreshingly different from the larger resorts in the area. From the moment you step inside, the courtyard sets the tone—a beautiful tree at the center, a tiny swimming pool, and a peaceful layout that instantly makes you feel at ease. It has a quiet, intimate ambiance that’s perfect for travelers looking to slow down and relax. What truly stands out is how much the hotel feels like a small-town boutique hotel you might find in Europe. The Spanish-style architecture, with its clean lines, warm tones, and thoughtful details, gives the property a timeless and elegant character. It feels personal and inviting rather than commercial, which adds a lot to the overall experience. The courtyard is a lovely place to unwind, whether you’re enjoying a morning coffee or cooling off in the pool after a day of exploring Tulum. Everything feels well cared for and intentionally designed, contributing to a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Posada 06 is ideal for couples or solo travelers who appreciate charm, simplicity, and a sense of place. It’s a peaceful oasis that combines European-style coziness with the relaxed spirit of Tulum, making it a memorable and enjoyable stay.
