Lobby is amazing. Room is a nightmare. Super small and not the cleanest. Would never recommend staying here.

I had to work trip the first weekend in June in Chicago. Thanks to various events like the Chicago blues festival Pokémon fest and the USA versus Germany FIFA game downtown hotels were at a premium. This hotel is the only one I can find that was within the government rate since I worked for a tribal government. The antique interior marble and stone really makes us a beautiful place and has a really neat bar. Whenever you walk in the hotel has a restaurant and even a spa can get a good fresh cut. There’s plenty of restaurants with him walking distance which led me to Giordano‘s one night for the boys delicious (chicago) deep dish pizza. My room was comfortable cleaning and did what I needed to which was to shower And get a good nights rest. A downfall with this hotel, I would say which is pretty standard with most downtown Chicago hotels is that there is no parking in fact if I wanted to leave early in the morning, I finally had to find a public parking space about a half a mile away, which wasn’t really convenient. I would say this hotel was a good price and accomplished what I needed to accomplish in it but I do wish I could’ve found something a little closer to Michigan Avenue and where all the activities were but giving I was just there for two days. It definitely hit the Marke for me.

We booked the hotel through AAA. The room provided at check-in was a handicap-accessable room, so other rooms may varry. This is an older building, and while the rooms have been updated, ours showed its age, with the little furniture present looking well worn. The bed was comfortable and the area was clean, just not fresh. The room was quiet, although we were facing the inside of the building. Parking...wow. I am used to paying for parking in the city. In this case, the garage that they referred me to was about a block away (no valet service) and the cost was $65 per night). Knowing what we do now, I would choose a different hotel next time in Chicago. Location was good, with easy access to restaurants and other city sights.
