Bar with 2 venue spaces, one small room and one tiny room. Hits that artsy divey vibe. Check out the mirror room in the back for the chillness. Down from Seattle for a music festival and closed out my weekend with the Stamina dnb Sunday weekly. Seems like a right scene.

F8 is a solid spot in SOMA for underground dance music. The venue is intimate with a dark, industrial atmosphere that fits the house and techno scenes well. The sound system in the main room is clear and carries plenty of low end without being overwhelming. There is also a second, smaller room that often features different genres, which provides a good change of pace if you want a break from the main stage. The staff is generally professional. Security is thorough but efficient at the door, and the bartenders move quickly even when the room is packed. Drink prices are standard for San Francisco. It is worth checking the lineup before you go, as the crowd and energy change significantly depending on the promoter or DJ. If you prefer a club that focuses more on the music than a VIP experience, this is one of the better options in the city.
