About this place Fairmont San Francisco

This grande dame mansion-hotel sits atop one of San Francisco's famous Seven Hills, offering a classic San Francisco experience with style. The location is particularly convenient—it's the only spot in the city where all three cable car lines intersect, making it easy to navigate those famously steep hills without wearing out your legs. Whether you're heading to Chinatown for dim sum and shopping, catching the sights at Fisherman's Wharf, or exploring the bayside neighborhoods, you'll find excellent transit connections right at your doorstep. As a gay-friendly hotel option in San Francisco, this venue provides upscale accommodations in one of the most LGBTQ+-welcoming cities in the world. The property combines historic charm with the amenities you'd expect from a luxury establishment, making it suitable for travelers looking for comfort and elegance during their stay. The Nob Hill location puts you in the heart of San Francisco's iconic landmarks and neighborhoods, with plenty of vistas to take in from this elevated perch. Whether you're visiting for leisure or looking for a comfortable base to explore the city's vibrant culture and attractions, this hotel offers both the prestige of a well-established San Francisco institution and the practicality of excellent access to the neighborhoods and sites that make the city special. The cable car intersection location is genuinely convenient for getting around without navigating those steep hills on foot.

Jun at Laurel Court was amazing! We had high tea and he was such a wonderful waiter. He took our allergies seriously and was very attentive without interrupting too much. He’s really wonderful!

We checked in June 6th to June 8th. The hotel is beautiful! It has an old vintage feel to it, while still managing to be modern. The staff was warm and welcoming. Shane at the restaurant was kind and took a genuine interest in chatting with our group. Overall worth the price, everything was great!
