Marburg Hotel

Absolutely love the atmosphere, hospitality, quality of the food and venue especially the decor. Staff are very welcoming. Patrons are locals and family orientated. Never disappointed!

Great little country pub. The hotel itself looks great and inviting from the street. Very small public bar, but sufficient and friendly. The food was great and the value for money was good. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and did a great job. Plenty of room outside and is pet and children friendly. Great little pub.

Beautiful gardens out the back and a lovely back patio. The bad: one tiny bathroom in the entire hotel, the food was cold, bartender was very unfriendly. We had a large group that we had booked for so there was plenty of warning. Everyone’s food came out mostly fast, but majority were cold including my Angus Rump inc. the gravy :/ The woman at the bar with the pink hair didn’t crack a single smile or seem to care about the patrons at all. Patrons are allowed to smoke in the gardens right next to the back patio, which was unfortunate for our family considering we had a few kids with us and it just stinks when you’re trying to enjoy your lunch…there are other smoking areas out the front that weren’t being used. Won’t go out of my way again to come here- it was overall very, very average.

Disappointing lunch visit. Our hosts from Brisbane took us to lunch as they had been several times before and always had a great meal however we were all disappointed with out steak meals. The eye fillet was not true to name and was overcooked and tough. The rump steaks were also overcooked, not medium and med/rare as requested. The staff were friendly and helpful however which compensated somewhat.

First time today for lunch with friends. What a surprise to find nicely set tables, white table cloths, comfortable seat and great service. Just had a steak sandwich and it was 10/10. Regular checks to make sure all was okay, but not over the top. Well done and we will definitely go back. Worth the 90k drive.
