Great hostel, amazing facilities, mostly very clean. Only downside I found from spending a night there is the fancy airflow for each pod is very noisy plus the portable aircon plugged in the wall is also very noisy...
Amazing atmosphere in the heart of Auckland. The attached bar was fantastic too
This hostel was good and I enjoyed my stay but it had some major issues that I just couldn’t overlook . Firstly the kitchen area and work area is great loads of room and kitchen was clean and more spacious than other reviews made it out to be. The pod itself was clean but my god it was one of the hottest spaces I have ever stayed in even after backpacking Asia. There’s one tiny ventilation fan that doesn’t do much to cool the pod . Felt like an oven . I don’t think this is a reason not to stay thought as the overall experience in the pod was good just bring a fan. Furthermore the WiFi is abysmal. Would not load Netflix’s at all just buffering also when trying to do anything else it would just randomly drop out. The WiFi really does need to be sorted
Thanks to Sara for all the help
Stayed here for a fortnight. Truly a class hostel. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were modern, and the bathrooms were spotless. The only downside is that the kitchen might be too small for the size of the hostel, but otherwise it's well equipped and clean. The lack of shelf space is also an issue. Storage is already quite limited, and some departing guests don't free up their spots when they leave. Check out the Happy Travels desk if you're looking for a car rental or a tour. They know their stuff, and their prices are unbeatable.
Originally afforded a Double Interior private with Shared Facilities, but it was very small and surprisingly did not have any adjustable heating, when even the pods themselves had temperature control. Thankfully staff was able to get me an upgrade to a private ensuite room, and it came with bathroom, heating and much more storage space. The shared kitchen and common spaces were great as well. For those looking for a private room, I'd recommend paying the extra premium for the ensuite straight away.
