📣 It's the final stretch! This 30 October in Phuket, let's send our cheers to Bangkok, for all of Asia, together 💛

🌏 WHY ASIA?

More than half the world lives here, yet WorldPride has never once come to visit 🏳️‍🌈 Here are 4 facts from the Bid Book session that make it clear: Asia's time has come!

📊 58% of the world's population lives in Asia
⚖️ 21 Asian countries still criminalise LGBTQIAN+ people
🌎 2 regions have never hosted WorldPride: Asia and Latin America
💚 TH·TW Thailand and Taiwan are the only two "green" spots on Asia's safety map

These numbers aren't here to boast. They remind us that so many of our siblings across Asia still can't live openly. That's why Bangkok WorldPride 2030 doesn't belong to Bangkok alone. It's a door we want to open for the whole region.

🌱 5R: Roots · Reach · Rights · Resilience · Responsibility are the principles we hold onto throughout this journey.

"We are not the leader, and we are not a new star. We are simply another star that wants to shine so Asia can change." — Waaddao Ann Chumaporn

✨ And the dream doesn't stop at 2030. The bid team also invites us to imagine an Asia Pride, where countries that already hold Pride take turns hosting, like our very own SEA Games.
