About the event

⚖️ Discrimination has a cost. Rights should not need a business case.

When a trans person must choose between identity and employment, or a disabled applicant is rejected because a company lacks support, the loss goes beyond income. It is a loss of opportunity and control over one’s life.

During the IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings 2026, we ask: if fiscal targets face close scrutiny, why shouldn’t equality safeguards?

Anti-discrimination law must mean more than words: accessible complaints, effective remedies, and a fair process that does not leave the burden of proof to those harmed alone.

Everyone deserves protection—even when no economic return can be calculated.
