Hamburg Queer Cup

The Hamburg Queer Cup is a swimming competition, not a football tournament. Startschuss, Hamburg's queer sports club, organizes it at the Schwimmhalle Inselpark in Wilhelmsburg. It is open to everyone regardless of gender or sexuality. There are freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly races in age groups, timed in a 25-meter pool. In recent years, clubs from the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium and Austria have entered.

It is held over a weekend in July. The 9th edition ran 17 to 19 July 2026, with races on Saturday 18 July and more than 100 swimmers.

Startschuss has said there will be a 2027 edition, but the 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
