What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the hotel's central and quiet location, close to public transport and amenities, as well as the cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff. However, a common complaint is the lack of privacy in the bathrooms, with open designs that can be uncomfortable for some guests.

About this place Hôtel Agora Swiss Night by Fassbind

Hôtel Agora Swiss Night is run by the Swiss Fassbind hotel group on Avenue du Rond-Point, a few minutes' walk from Lausanne railway station. The 'Swiss Night' branding refers to the hotel's focus on sleep quality in its rooms. It is a mainstream gay-friendly hotel, not a gay venue. The station location suits travellers moving around by train. The lakefront at Ouchy is reachable by metro, and the old town is uphill from the station. Reviews average 4.1 from over 1,000 ratings. Lausanne is expensive, so expect Swiss prices even at this mid-range level.

Clean, practical hotel near the train station. It is in a central location with some good food options nearby. Rooms were clean, breakfast was adequate. Usually offers a good value.

Hotel is excellent as facilities and is in a really good location with the metro nearby and many good food options. Also walking distance to the center and train station. Service is average. Breakfast buffet has a great view though. Internet coverage is terrible and there is almost no wifi or mobiel signal in rooms in the floors below which ruins the experience. The staff doesn’t/can’t do anything about it no matter how much you complain. Very surprising problem at a supposedly good hotel.

The hotel is ideally located, very clean and calm. My only disappointment was that the double bed was not actually one single bed. I had the choice between a double bed and twin beds, and I chose a double bed, but it turned out to be two small beds pushed together. You can clearly feel the gap between them. I find this disappointing, especially when guests are asked to choose between the two options. I was also staying on the 8th floor and had a direct view of the building opposite. I had specifically booked a higher floor to avoid having buildings directly facing my room. I believe there are rooms on the other side of the building, but when I asked to change rooms, I was told it would be the same. I have to admit, I didn’t really understand that explanation. However, I recommend this hotel.

Conveniently located between the train station and the city center, my third-floor room was tastefully furnished and decorated. I remember the varied and delicious sweet and savory breakfasts, with a magnificent view of the lake and mountains.
