Calgary Pride 2026
About This Event
Calgary Pride runs over the long weekend at the turn of September — Pride Week is 31 August to 6 September in 2026 — and this year brings a deliberate change of shape. Instead of centring everything on one festival site, Calgary Pride is spreading 2026 across the city, running and supporting events with venues and community partners all over town rather than in a single park.
The fixed point is still the Pride Parade on Sunday 6 September through downtown Calgary; as of writing, the organisers list the exact route and start time as still to be confirmed, so check the official site closer to the date. Watching is free. Across the week the programme runs as themed "threads" — a flag raising and Indigenous arts showcase to open on 31 August, a free Queer Arts Market at the BMO Centre on 5 September, the Indigo Nights gala, and more.
Practical notes: downtown Calgary is walkable and served by the CTrain, which is free through the downtown core. Early September can swing between warm afternoons and cold evenings — bring a layer. Because 2026 is spread citywide, plan around the specific events you want rather than one central site, and check calgarypride.ca for the finalised parade details.

Email accessibility@calgarypride.ca ahead of the weekend if you need a wheelchair viewing spot — they hold designated zones along the route.
Ride the C-Train to Victoria Park/Stampede rather than driving; downtown streets close for the parade and parking evaporates.
Pride Week runs Aug 31 – Sep 6 across seven themed threads, so scan the full program if you want more than just parade Sunday.
